Trinity  Hollow

Objective: Create a witch themed experience for a new park located in Salem, MA

  • The Story:

    • Trinity Hollow is a hidden gem located in the Salem Woods of Massachusetts. After the Salem Witch Trials in the 1600s, magic was banned and many of the surviving witches and wizards felt lost. Without a place to call home, a group of 3 magical beings, Luna, Willow, and Birdie, decided to create a secret village of their own where they could practice their magic and teach others who were willing to learn. Each of the three witches have specific personality traits, allowing them to run different areas of the park.

      • Birdie is the leader of the coven and is known as a “Traditional Witch,” meaning that she has a base in the history of witchcraft, honoring the old ways of practicing magic, and working with the spirits of where they are located. Birdie is the caretaker of the graveyard and if you’re lucky, you may see her there during your visit!

      • Luna is known as a “Cosmic Witch,” looking to the cosmos, astrology, and astronomy for celestial energy as she practices her magic. Luna is the owner of the Celestial Café restaurant, so make sure you stop by to try her delicious new recipes!

      • Finally, our third magical being is Willow who is known as a “Green Witch” and is deeply connected to the Earth, practicing with plants and other greenery in her spells. Willow spends a lot of her time tending her garden and growing her own herbs while also running the park’s Apothecary Shop. Swing by for a visit and you may find some beautiful trinkets to take home with you.

  • The Guest Experience:

    • In the center of this park, there is a Wicca Tree of Life and legend says this is where all magical spirits get their power from. It is also home to a nighttime spectacular where guests will be able to experience magic and meet spirits from the beyond. Rituals are held to celebrate the various holidays and villagers decorate the houses and local shops year-round. There are a variety of activities to do here, such as eating at the Celestial Cafe, checking out the 3 witches’ houses, riding the attraction Flight of the Witching Hour, exploring the graveyard, and shopping at the local apothecary. Inspired by the local history of Salem, Massachusetts and blended with a touch of fantasy, this park was designed to be enjoyed by families and guests of all ages who are eager to embark on their magical training journey.

Ground Plan

The layout of the park is a hub and spoke design with the Wicca Tree of Life as the central location and five walkways branching out, creating the shape of a pentagram as guests walk throughout the land. Each of the experiences in the park are rooted in one of the five elements of the Earth: The Celestial Café = Wind, The Witches’ Houses = Water, The Flight of the Witching Hour Attraction = Fire, The Graveyard = Spirit, and The Apothecary = Earth. As the evening approaches, symbols of these elements will glow on the ground and will lead guests towards the nighttime spectacular show. A color palette of earthy greens, blues, and browns are combined with a more bewitching color scheme of purples, pinks, and yellows and can be seen throughout the park.
