Hades' Wrath Attraction
Objective: Re-imagining the wooden coaster Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City, create a brand new attraction and place it into an existing theme park anywhere in the world
-
For the location of this attraction, I chose to create a new pavilion at the World Showcase in Disney World's Epcot Center. Placed between China and Germany is the new Greece Pavilion designed to house this Hercules themed attraction.
The Story
After getting trapped in the deep, dark realm of Hades’ Underworld, his little minions Pain and Panic help you with your escape plan. In a rush to get back home, you will board a chariot with Pegasus and race to get back to Mount Olympus. With Hades on your tail and the Titans blocking your path, will you have what it takes to go the distance and outwit Hades at his own foolish game?
The Queue Plan
The queue is designed for both fast pass and general and also meets ADA standards. There are 3 main section of the general queue: the first is an abandoned courtyard designed for overflow, the second section is the descent into the Underworld, and the final section is the Underworld itself. Sections two and three are both parts of the conditioned queue. There are also four show spaces represented by numbers throughout the queue. 1: Animatronic of the Boat of Charon, 2: Animatronic of Ceberus, 3: River of the Lost Souls of the Dead, 4: Animatronics of Pain and Panic. Once the ride is over, guests will exit onto the unload platform and through the retail shop at the end of the attraction before returning to the rest of the park.
