Objective: Create a self-portrait still life by drawing 5 items that say something about who you are as a person, including 1 cloth item and 1 reflective item

This is a 20”x 24” charcoal drawing done on charcoal paper, with a 1-inch border

The 5 items depicted are: a bottle of dark nail polish, a ceramic mug with the logo from the TV series Friends, a facial washcloth, a pair of mirrored sunglasses, and an inspirational canvas that says, “Chase Adventures”

•The light source is coming from above the right side, in front of the objects and associated shadowing is drawn
Quick thumbnail sketches of still life, each one is drawn from a different angle or the objects have been arranged in a new pattern.
Three closer studies on the final arrangement for the still life. The studies show the light source coming from different angles and produce various shadows.
